My mandate in film directing has been to challenge, to upset the normal and explore the ways in which film can enlighten us.

Sometimes, I've gone too far. My films are 'elliptical', 'unresolvable', or 'weird'. Just like life, really. I feel accomplished and expressed because I've pushed the boundaries and taken chances that others fear.

'Henry' is the latest of my exploration. It uses techniques from conventional narrative, blending them with the metaphysical to create a film which may not add up like arithmetic, but more like a total experience. 'Henry' uses production technique as spectacle, a human story to engage and the language of cinema to explore the contradictions and ironies of life Ð view this film with an open mind.
